It Began with This...

I was so touched by the love that radiated off of Jimmy & Brittany.
They were so naturally affectionate with eachother and I just had to capture that.
I think that is my favorite part about family sessions b/c that is where it all began.
Two people.
That fell in love.

Magical

With this family, that is exactly what our experience was!

Jimmy, Brittany and lil Ada Moncrief
Brittany contacted US last week about doing a session for them while they were in town from Chattanooga. Brittany is a photographer herself, and I always find flattering when another photographer asks US to do their family photos. You can visit Brittany's site here.

It was cold...very cold... Like 40 degrees cold. We brought some of those hand warmers for Jimmy and Brittany to keep lil Ada warm. We took several breaks so she could get warm & happy in their car. She was a trooper! You can tell she's a photographers daughter!

This lil family was so natural and comfortable in front of us. We really bonded and I think we have made some great friends in Chattanooga!

We all had SO much in common, it was a little scary! So incredible when you encounter people that you have SO much in common with.

Over the next week or so, I'll be sharing lil snippets of their session.

Today... some family stuff!

We just couldn't get enough of them!

Thanks Jimmy, Brittany and lil Ada for an amazing time and the future of a great friendship!

See you soon!

We'll be back w/some more from this session later this week!

A Bit of Personal...

Because I think it's important for you to get to know US...

Most of you know that we are expecting our first child in March. We are just so amazed with the blessing that God has given us with this child and a growing family.

My dream in life has always been to be a mother. Ever since I was a little girl. I never really had a "career" in my mind for my future growing up. I just knew I wanted to be a mother. The rest would work it's self out. So now that I am embarking on that journey to motherhood, the emotions that are filling my mind and heart are so overwhelming. It's beautiful really. God is so good.

Now that my belly is growing, it's been really fun having Josh play around with some maternity photos throughout this journey. We took some quick ones a few weeks ago when I was 21 weeks. The belly starting to be pretty obvious that Im not just eating too much Oreos (I have had my fair share of those though). haha

And of course I had to take one of my handsome husband... who then did some amazing processing and played with some textures! He loves to do that!

So there is our start to my maternity photos! It's really just the beginning. We are photographers you know! There is bound to be a HUGE collection by the time Josie gets here! And then the newborn photos will begin!

We will be back next week with some photos from some sessions we have this weekend!

Something Special

Something special that you will be seeing in our Featured photos that we post will be that the photos now be framed in these AMAZING digital frames designed by Danielle Thompson. I first discovered Danielle through the scrapbooking industry that I am involved in. She is an amazingly talented designer and artist. She recently started designing her own digital scrapbooking products called Kitschy Digitals. I just love her designs. They fit our vintage eclectic style perfectly. I am a collector of vintage frames myself. We have several all throughout our home so when I saw the digital frames she designed, I knew I had to have them to use for our Featured Photos. You can find all of Danielle's Kitschy Digital Designs HERE for purchase. So if you are a scrapbooker, card maker, or just love to play with digital products, you MUST check out her designs!

Now onto our Featured Photos from a recent session!

I just love these kids. Their parents are from Georgia and Dad is a HUGE Georgia football fan so we had to get some cute shots of them in their Georgia gear in addition to some sweet fall portraits.

Just completely precious.

Fall is just about over here in Nashville. I miss the colors of the trees... The bright red and yellows. We even had some flurries here earlier this week! Josh really LOVES snow. I do as well but he REALLY LOVES snow. I grew up in Northeastern Pennsylvania and definitely miss the snow mounds to play in, especially on Christmas morning. Every year Josh hopes for a white Christmas, so we'll see if that happens this year.

Next up to share... Some casual fun maternity photos Josh took of me a few weekends ago.

Check back!
